Kim Crecelius is a musician, artist, creative leader, and maker whose work takes many forms but begins in much the same place: paying close attention.

She has spent more than three decades creating, shaping, and helping others bring things into the world. Her professional life began in design and grew to include creative direction, strategy, consulting, operations, and organizational leadership. Along the way, she has built teams and functions, advised leaders, shaped consequential work, and become someone people trust when the answer isn't immediately obvious.

Music has been present for even longer.

Raised in a small farming community in Iowa, Kim began playing classical piano as a child and later found her way to voice, guitar, songwriting, recording, and live performance. Her musical work is expansive and emotionally direct, often pairing a powerful voice with arrangements that leave room for both the song and the listener.

Across disciplines, Kim is interested in much the same thing: understanding what is already there and discovering what it wants to become.

That might result in a song, a photograph, a piece of design, a clearer idea, a better way through a problem, or something for which there isn't yet a useful category.

Increasingly, her creative life is less concerned with separating those forms. Music, image, language, design, performance, and the way people experience things all belong to the same larger practice.

Kim lives and works in Iowa, making music, creating things, and remaining curious about what wants to exist next.
